WATER SPORTS

 One of the top draws to visiting Costa Rica, is the astounding amount of nature that one encounters whilst visiting. Del Pacifico is uniquely located as it is midway between two national parks and in the middle of many other eco-touring options. 

Sunset Cruises

There are several sunset cruise charters available departing from the marina at Los Sueños in Herradura as well as from the new Marina Pez Vela near Manuel Antonio. Cruises generally depart around 2 pm and include refreshments. Prices vary but can run from $50/person up to $80/person.

Kayaking- Sea, Surf or Mangrove

There is quite a bit of kayaking available in our area.  From Jaco or Manuel Antonio you have a few options for half day sea kayak tours which include snorkeling and nature watching with a bilingual tour guide. Tours generally include lunch. If you are looking for an even greater challenge, surf kayaking may be for you. You can learn to kayak in the surf in Jaco, the site of the 2005 World Surf Kayak Championships. For the real nature buff, you can head to Damas Island for a mangrove kayaking adventure. Tours are available either during the day or at night for a totally unique experience with a bilingual naturist guide.

Jet Skiing

Jet Ski tours leave Manuel Antonio every 3 hours beginning at 7:30am. The tours are 2 hours in duration, using low emission jet skis and cost $95 for a single rider or $135 for a double. The tour leaves from Marina Pez Vela in Quepos.

Para-Sailing

Para-sailing is available in Manuel Antonio. Tours cost $75 for 15 minutes or $140 for 30 minutes.

Snorkeling

Snorkeling is a hidden gem in Costa Rica with the diverse marine life off the coast of Manuel Antonio lending itself to a great adventure. The area for snorkeling in the Central Pacific is called Las Gemelas and is 15 minutes by boat from Manuel Antonio. 

Diving

There are 3 areas for diving accessible from Del Pacifico. The first, Isla Tortuga, is accessed by a 40 minute boat ride from Herradura beach. There are 7 dive sites around Isla Tortuga. Jaco & Herradura Beaches have 5 dive sites and the Manuel Antonio/Quepos areas have 16 dive sites within a 2 hour boat ride from the marina in Quepos. 

White Water Rafting

There are 2 rivers near Manuel Antonio for white water rafting tours. The Naranjo River is a 7 mile course with Class III to Class IV rapids; available for half day tours only at a cost of $79/person. The Savegre River is a 13 mile course with Class III to Class IV rapids; available for half ($79/person), three quarters ($89/person) and full day tours ($98/person).

Stand Up Paddle-Boarding

Stand up Paddle-Boarding is so hot right now! At the moment there are a few options on the Central Pacific coast for SUP. There are lessons available from Del Mar Extreme in Jaco who have 3 different tour options ranging from $65/person to $80/person depending upon the duration of the tour. You can also do a 2 hour lesson with Stand Up Paddle Surfing Costa Rica out of Playa Hermosa (just up the road from us).
